ENDURANCE & FITNESS COACHLOCATION: Anywhere in the United States SUMMARY: Rugged Running is looking for an Endurance & Fitness Coach to join our growing team. As a Rugged Running Endurance & Fitness Coach you will work with a variety of runners ranging from people trying running for the first time to elite level athletes. You will work with runners that participate in a wide variety of events from 5Ks to ultramarathons to OCR events. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of Exercise Physiology, be well connected with their local running community, have a passion for helping others, a commitment to personal growth and have previous experience coaching runners or a degree in a related field. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES: A commitment to and modeling of Rugged Running’s mission and core values. Developing, monitoring and adjusting running training programs, as well as strength training and nutrition programs according to the Rugged Running training methodology Frequent communication (written and verbal) with the athletes you coach Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of endurance training and nutrition techniques and concepts Represent Rugged Running at various races and running camps throughout the year QUALIFICATIONS: Self-starter with a great work ethic and communication skills both verbal and written Excellent customer service skills Well connected to their local running community A passion for running and extensive personal experience with running Past training experience with Rugged Running a plus Coaching experience/credentials Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or another related field COMPENSATION PACKAGE: This is a commission based position with compensation being determined based on the number of athletes coached. Must have the ability to coach a minimum of 10 athletes. This can be either a part-time or full-time commitment depending on the number of athletes you coach. GROUP TRAINING LEADERSSUMMARY: Group Training Leaders (GTL) are responsible for managing and leading a Rugged Running (RR) group training program in their local area. RR provides the training programs for the members of the group while the GTL is primarily responsible for executing the in-person group workouts twice a week. LOCATION: Anywhere in US ​ CLASSIFICATION/TIME COMMITMENT: Independent Contractor Estimated 3-5 hours per week for 12 weeks DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Help market and recruit new group members to your local training group. Handle correspondence with your group members. Schedule, coordinate and attend the group training sessions twice a week for a minimum of one 12 week program a year. A commitment and modeling of Rugged Running's mission and core values. ​ QUALIFICATIONS: Self-starter with a great work ethic and communication skills Excellent customer service skills Well connected to their local running community Past training experience with Rugged Running a plus Coaching experience/credentials a plus ​ COMPENSATION: This position has a base pay plus commissions and incentive bonuses.
