WHO WE SUPPORT
At Rugged Running we believe strongly in giving back to organizations that represent and strive to make a positive impact for the greater good. We make a commitment to helping others with both our time and our dollars. We believe one of the greatest acts a person can do is help another person. See below for some of the great organizations that we love to support.
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
The American Trail Running Association, ATRA, was formed in mid-1996 as a Colorado not for profit corporation to serve the trail and mountain running community. Our mission is to represent and promote trail and mountain running. We offer individual, club, race and corporate memberships.
Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
We proudly participate in the 1% for Open Space program, a non-profit consortium of over 85 businesses working to permanently preserve open lands, recreational accesses, viewshed corridors, ranchlands and wildlife habitats in Gunnison County.
Rescued for Life is a non-profit animal rescue based in Aurora, CO. They are committed to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of dogs who might otherwise be euthanized in shelters. "Once a dog has entered our program, we make certain that dog has been rescued for life. We are in this together, paw and hand."
Wayne Runs Free Running Events hosts "no frills" races, so you can save your money for shoes or other gear. From Wayne, "I don't organize races to make money. I organize races to share my passion with others, to encourage them to experience new running venues, to meet like-minded folks, and perhaps make some new running friends."
