BOOT CAMP

WEEKEND CAMPS IN CONIFER, CO

Rugged Running - BOOT CAMP is a personal and fun learning experience of a lifetime with Michele Yates as your coach. The high elevation overnight boot camp is focused on all aspects of running or fitness. The camp is limited to 4 campers who will share 1 bedroom with bunk beds and a full bathroom on the spacious lower level of our home in Conifer with a complete gym, kitchenette and mountain views! Each camp will have a theme such as Colorado wine and juice tasting, self defense, etc. Must be dog and kid friendly (although both will be locked away a majority of the time :P). You must provide your own transportation to and from the airport. There is an Uber driver here, just let us know if you are interested in using their services.  Contact us for more information and details associated with each camp!

THE DETAILS

THE LOCATION

The host location for the overnight weekend Boot Camp is the Rugged Running Headquarters aka "our home" situated at an elevation of 8,500 feet in the Conifer, Colorado area.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Campers will share one bedroom with bunk beds and a full bathroom on the spacious lower level of our home complete with a kitchenette for the campers, gym and mountain views! 

WHAT'S PROVIDED

Pack your bags with your running gear and get to the host location (DIA is the closest airport and UBER provides taxi service for $65 one way). Everything else you may need during Boot Camp weekend is provided by us!

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

The Boot Camp covers all aspects to improve your running and fitness including:

  • One full strength training routine emphasized on running performance and injury prevention.

  • Basic gait analysis for each camper.

  • Drills to increase performance and injury prevention

  • Uphill and downhill running drills and technique.

  • Mobility and flexibility session.

  • Nutrition talk - daily nutrition and race performance.

  • Questions and Answers with Michele

Permitting fees, insurance, supplies, food, drinks, are part of what makes this camp happen. The Cost - $400

THE TYPICAL SCHEDULE

Day 1: Friday

Arrival  6- 7pm (arrangements can be made if not)
Meet n Greet (light snacks and beverages provided)
Individual or just a group session with Michele

Day 2: Saturday

6:30am: Strength/Agility session
8:00am: Breakfast and Nutrition Discussion
9:30am: Hill Drills/form and gait analysis
11:00am: Lunch
12:00pm: Self Defense Sesssion/snack 
2:30pm: Group Trail Run/Hike 
6:00pm: Dinner, Fun and Q&A with Michele

Day 3: Sunday
6:30 am: Breafast Q&A with Michele, Gait Reviews 
8:00 am: Hill Drills and/or trail run
11:00am-1:00pm Camp Ends (if we decide on a trail run at 1pm a light lunch may be served before departing)
