Rugged Running - THE CAMP Arizona is a personal (only 8 campers), fun, learning experience of a lifetime with Michele Yates as your coach. The camp is hosted at Arizona's only AAA Four Diamond all-suite resort, the luxurious Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, and the beautiful South Mountain Park & Preserve in Tempe, Arizona. Campers will gain essential knowledge in hill, speed, nutrition, mobility and strength disciplines.

HOST RESORT

Rugged Running - THE CAMP Arizona is hosted at the luxurious Arizona Grand Resort & Spa in Tempe, Arizona. 

 

Nestled in a private southwestern desert oasis, the resort offers a one-of-a-kind setting at the base of naturally beautiful South Mountain Preserve that offers 50+ miles of desert mountain trails where we will be doing all of our group runs and workouts.

WHAT'S PROVIDED

Your camp registration fee covers your lodging at the Arizona Grand Resort, snacks, entry to the Oasis Water Park and a light breakfast each morning.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

The Camp covers various techniques and form for uphill and downhill running, drills for strength and power, as well as dynamic lead ups for speed and leg turnover. Mobility sessions for flexibility and recovery are included with attention to daily and race nutrition too. Personal goal setting, gait analysis and individual attention will be emphasized.

THE COST

$2,000 if you want to share a room with another camper;

$2,850 if you want your own room for you and/or your family.

 

*$500 to reserve your spot at camp. Balance due no later than January 1st.

*NO REFUNDS

Campers are responsible for their expenses getting to the resort and for lunches and dinners. 

THE SCHEDULE

Day 1: Thursday

4:00pm: Check-in Hotel/Meet n' Greet 
4:45pm - 5:30pm: Easy "get to know one another" Shake Out Run/Hike. 
6:30pm: Dinner - We have a reservation at the Lobby Grill. A convenient favorite of Michele and Wyatt's. If any campers want to join us, please let us know.

Day 2: Friday

5:30am: Snacks, Coffee & Tea
6:00am: Warm Up, Speed Drills, Dynamic Lead Ups
8:30am: Video Shots of gaits for gait analysis
9:00am: Light Breakfast & Nutrition Clinic
11:00am: Individual Meetings with Michele (goals, experience, etc.)
12:30pm: Lunch (on your own)
2:00pm: Strength & Mobility Exercises for Common Injuries 
4:30pm - 5:30pm: Trail Run/Hike
6:30pm: Dinner - We have a reservation at Aunt Chilada's. Michele and Wyatt's absolute favorite. If any campers want to join us, please let us know.

Day 3: Saturday

5:30am: Snacks, Coffee & Tea
6:00am: Warm Up Speed Drills, Dynamic Lead ups, Uphill/Downhill Technique and Form and Power Drills 

9:00am: Light Breakfast
10:00am: Individual follow up meetings with Michele
12:00pm: Water Park Fun (lunch on your own)
6:30pm: Dinner - We have a reservation at Rustler's Rooste. Live music! If any campers want to join us, please let us know.

Day 4: Sunday

5:30am: Snacks, Coffee & Tea
6:00am: Trail Run/Hike  
9:00am: Light Breakfast & Last minute questions
11:00am: Check-out of hotel/End of Camp
